What is a CSA?
A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share is a seasonal partnership between you and a local farm (in this case, us!). By joining our CSA, you purchase a share of the season’s harvest up front and, in return, receive a weekly box of fresh, in-season produce throughout the growing season. This model helps support small farms by sharing both the risks and rewards of growing food together, while connecting our community directly to the source of their food.
At Kodama Farm, we embrace regenerative, no-till, and organic practices to nurture healthy soil and cultivate a diverse range of food, all grown with respect for the land and its ecosystems. As a CSA member, you receive fresh, nourishing food at peak flavor and nutrition while also supporting local agriculture and staying connected to the rhythms of the season.

If you anticipate missing a pickup during the season, we offer a few flexible ways to handle your share:
Pass it along
You’re welcome to have someone else enjoy your share while you’re away. Simply let us know ahead of time who will be picking up in your place.Catch up later
We can add extra items to a future share to help balance things out. Just give us a heads-up and we’ll make it happen.Donate
We are always willing to donate your share to a family in need. -
Pay in full: This option is helpful for us as farmers, as we face a significant portion of our expenses early in the season (seeds, soil amendments, etc.). However, we completely understand that this may not be possible for everyone.
Pay monthly: You are welcome to pay for your share on a month to month basis, due on the 1st of each month. However, we ask that all members commit to an entire season.
Because our CSA represents a seasonal commitment, partial-season refunds are generally not available. Refunds may be considered only in rare, unexpected circumstances (such as an unforeseen move out of the area) and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for understanding!

Due to the high costs associated with certification, we are not certified organic. That said, we exceed organic qualifications and apply regenerative growing practices. We utilize no-till soil preparation and do not use any herbicides or pesticides. We also rely exclusively on natural, organic amendments and fertilizers. For more details, please visit our Growing Practices page.

In addition to your weekly share of produce, you will be receiving a farm gift once per month. Depending on the time of the year, you will be able to select between items such as Kodama goat milk soap, candles, preserves, Kodama merch, and more!
We will also be sending you a weekly newsletter with seasonal recipes to help you make the most of your share!
Additionally, you will be invited to a gathering at Kodama Farm to start off the season! This will include snacks, drinks, and a tour of the farm. More details will be provided after you sign up.

Sorry, we do not offer any customization. We hope our CSA will inspire you to experiment and enjoy the diversity of produce grown throughout the season!
If you prefer to select your own produce on a weekly basis, please come see us at the farmer’s market, and check out our Farm Bucks program.
